MediaTek releases Dimensity 800 Series 5G chipset mid-price range smartphones. The Dimensity 800 5G chipset family offers ground-breaking system on-chips (SoCs) with incorporated 5G modems, the organization reported at the CES 2020. The single chip solutions are professed to offer an unparalleled blend of connectivity, AI, multimedia and imaging advancements pressed into ultra-efficient 7nm chip.
According to the organization, the Dimensity 800 series coordinates MediaTek’s 5G modem in one compact design, offering noteworthy platform power savings if contrasted with two-chip choices. The Dimensity 800 Series is an octa-core SoC including four ARM Cortex-A76 cores timed up to 2GHz, and four ARM Cortex-A55 cores timed up to a similar frequency. It likewise bears four Dimensity 1000-class GPU IP cores, joined with the organization’s HyperEngine gaming tech. MediaTek is likewise touting multi-frame 4K video HDR capacities, and backing for up to 90Hz full-HD resolution displays.
